FEDPOD Records Successful TETFund-Supported Blended Learning and ICT Capacity Building Workshop for Staff

The Federal Polytechnic Ohodo (FEDPOD), Enugu State, has successfully concluded a five-day 2025 TETFund Intervention Workshop on Awareness and Sensitization of Staff on:
* TETFund Blended Learning Platforms (TERAS),
* Training on Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS),
* Distinction,
* International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL),
* Cybersecurity Awareness, and other emerging digital learning technologies.

The workshop, held from July 21 to 25, 2026, at the Polytechnic’s Computer Software Laboratory, sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and facilitated by First Oasis Consult Limited; provided participants with practical, hands-on training aimed at enhancing digital teaching, learning, and administrative competencies in line with global best practices in tertiary education.

Declaring the Workshop open on behalf of the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Ediri Emmanuel Agada; the Deputy Rector, Dr. Cornelius Ogayi, emphasized the need for staff to leverage on every available opportunity to upgrade and update their tech skill at all times.

Speaking with newsmen at the end of the programme, the Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of the Polytechnic, Dr. Bartholomew Idoko, expressed satisfaction with the successful execution of the workshop. He commended the enthusiasm and active participation of staff, noting that the acquired knowledge would significantly strengthen the institution’s drive towards technology-driven education and efficient service delivery.

Dr. Idoko also expressed profound appreciation to the Rector, Dr. Ediri, the Management of the Polytechnic, and TETFund for their unwavering commitment to staff development through continuous capacity-building initiatives. He reaffirmed the Unit’s commitment to sustaining digital transformation and promoting the effective deployment of modern educational technologies across the Polytechnic.
