FEDPOD DELEGATION PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO UNN VICE-CHANCELLOR
The Management of Federal Polytechnic Ohodo, Enugu State (FEDPOD), led by the Rector, Dr. Ediri Emmanuel Agada, on Thursday, May 21, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Prof. Simon U. Ortuanya, to congratulate him on his appointment and to reaffirm the Polytechnic’s commitment to fostering productive institutional collaboration.
During the visit, Dr. Ediri described the Vice-Chancellor who is also an illustrious son of the Polytechnic host Community—Ohodo, as a distinguished personality whose contributions and engagements have positively influenced the growth trajectory of the institution. He further expressed appreciation for Prof. Ortuanya’s continued interest in the development of the Polytechnic, noting FEDPOD’s readiness to deepen institutional ties with UNN in areas that promote academic excellence, research collaboration, capacity building, and sustainable institutional development.
In his response, the UNN Vice Chancellor, Prof. Simon Ortuanya warmly received the delegation and commended the leadership of Federal Polytechnic Ohodo, Enugu State (FEDPOD) for its vision, discipline, and commitment to building a strong academic foundation for a young institution. He encouraged the Management to remain focused and resilient in its developmental strides, while assuring them of his goodwill and support toward constructive engagement and mutual advancement between both institutions.
Also in attendance were Principal Officers and members of Management of FEDPOD, as well as Principal Officers of University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
