FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC OHODO, ENUGU STATE (FEDPOD) CONGRATULATES NEW POLYTECHNIC LIBRARIAN
The Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of the Federal Polytechnic Ohodo, Enugu State (FEDPOD), warmly congratulate the newly appointed Polytechnic Librarian of the Institution, Dr. Albert Obiora Elejene, on his assumption of office on Monday, March 16, 2026.
Dr. Elejene takes over from the outgoing pioneer Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Ejike U. Igwebuike, marking another important milestone in the institutional development of the Polytechnic.
Dr. Elejene brings to the position a wealth of knowledge, professionalism, and dedication to academic excellence. Prior to his appointment, he served meritoriously in various capacities, including Polytechnic Librarian, as well as Director, Centre for Distance and Online Learning, of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny Island, Rivers State, and was the Ag. Polytechnic Librarian of Fidei Polytechnic, Gboko, Benue State, among others.
A highly accomplished scholar and information professional, with scholarly publications of both national and international repute, Dr. Elejene holds a PhD in Library and Information Science. He is a member of several professional bodies and also duly registered with the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).
Management expresses confidence in his ability to provide purposeful leadership and further enhance the growth and modernization of the Polytechnic Library.
Dr. Albert Elejene who hails from Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, is happily married with children.
The Polytechnic community wishes him a successful and impactful tenure.
