Federal Polytechnic Ohodo (FEDPOD) is a public institution owned by the Federal government of Nigeria.
It was established in the year 2021 under the administration of the then President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR).
The pioneer Principal Officers of the Polytechnic led by the Rector, Professor Edwin Onyeneje, were appointed on 16th day of March, 2021. The pioneer Governing Council of the Institution which had Chief Dr. Sylva Ameh as its Chairman, was inaugurated on 18th day of January, 2022.
The Federal Polytechnic Ohodo inherited the former premises of the Community Secondary School Ohodo, in Igbo-Etiti LGA of Enugu State in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria, as the Take-off campus with the gracious approval of the Government of Enugu State.
The Permanent Site, seated on a land size of over 105 hectres is in close proximity to the Take-off site, all within the same Ohodo community.
Since the establishment of the Institution the Council, Management and staff have been working tirelessly to put the necessary facilities in place to ensure a smooth take-off of academic activities.
