OUR PHILOSOPHY:
The Philosophy of the Federal Polytechnic Ohodo (FEDPOD) is anchored on Discipline, ICT-driven, Self-reliance and Professionalism.
This philosophy inform and guide the activities and choices made by the Management and Council as they lay solid foundations for the actualization of the Mission and Vision Statement of the Institution. The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Ohodo is therefore poised to provide programmes of instructions, research, training and development in Engineering Technology, Natural and Applied Sciences, General Entrepreneurial and Vocational Studies and other fields of study that may be determined and approved from time to time by the Council, Management, Academic Board, and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
The Federal Polytechnic Ohodo is striving to train technologists and technicians as well as administrators that will provide management skills required to drive industries and other commercial enterprises to meet the needs, aspirations and the development of our diverse economy.
It is being positioned to offer students the best training that will prepare them to be self-employed and employers of labour upon graduation.
Part of the Institution’s strategies is to come up with a curriculum that will develop the innovative attributes, engineering and technological acumen and culture of the hardworking and highly entrepreneurial people of the South-East in particular and Nigeria at large, by mounting largely globally competitive and cutting-edge courses.
The Institution is hoped to become an academic hub for the South-East regional economic development in particular and Nigeria in general because of its practical-orientated programmes.
